I checked Inoue Marina-san’s blog a few days ago.
I saw three blog entries that were related to Skip Beat!, well, two of em were at least. The other one was just coz I saw a pic with the Skip Beat logo at the background. (pic below; haha~ lawl)
1st entry: And the door opens… (lawl~ that’s soo Skip Beat! xD)
The first one was about their recording. She was saying that Kyoko was a difficult character to portray but I think she enjoyed voicing her anyway.
She took a picture of the “LoveMe” cake xD (pic below)
She mentioned that everyone were saying it was awesome and stuff and so that’s when she took a pic of it. She also mentioned that it was big. Lawl (I want a piece! xD hahaha!)
By the end of the day she said that she was grateful for the staff who prepared the surprise. (cake, prolly :’p)
2nd entry: SkiBi 2…
This entry…this is what we’ve all been waiting for.
Us fans aren’t alone! Marina-san also wants a sequel! >_<
After the post-recording, I received flowers from our director~!! Of course, the others had some too☆
I requested a “sequel” to the director and to the music director but I’m not that eminent so I guess they wouldn’t approve….
In the original (I’m guessing she mean the manga, since she reads it too :’p) there will be lots of developments that I’m sure you’ll like, and the people who want to be Kyoko’s seiyuu are increasing….
If there won’t be a part 2, an OVA then…!
I want to do more~!

So that’s it…there really isn’t a Skip Beat sequel for us fans…but, hopefully the producers would think about it so that we can have our sequel >w<
As for the 3rd entry, she only mentions that she tries her heart-sunglasses on that she brought accidentally with her, she put it on after the recording for Skip Beat. :’p (the picture that you see at the top of this blog entry x’p)
Marina-san’s so cute…although she has an unlikely voice. Reminds me of Park Romi-san for being so pretty and yet has a deep voice. x’p
I’m not sure how many episodes the anime really has but it’ll be clear once we see the 25th episode.
But she says it doesn’t have a sequel (yet xD) so…bah!

Well it doesn’t say for sure that there will not be a second season, just that it’s most likely NOT going to happen, I’ll hope it will though. It can still happen!!! When japanese fans get involved anything can happen, so lets hope this gets more and more popular!!!

I wouldn’t really call it a “sequel” so much as a continuation.
Anyway, yeah that kinda sucks. I mean, ending Skip Beat at the Dark Moon Arc is like ending Naruto after Sasuke leaves, Bleach after Inoue is kidnapped, Avatar after his “death”– you get the picture. There’s so much more that’s left so . . . open and naked =P.
And only hentai’s like nakey anime’s.

The 25th episode ended poorly.
I’ve read all of the chapters so far, and I would love if there could be more, because there is SO much more character development.
I guess it would be good to take a break, though, because the anime was coming out at a much faster pace than the manga, and I would hate for it to catch up and have… FILLERS -dies-.
So maybe later on, when there are more chapters. :D
Have to concur with Orihime, while I watch a lot of anime, Skip Beat and La Corda d’oro are the first shows that have truly piqued my interest in quite a while. Skip Beat is a wonderfully engaging and at the same time realistic story that cries out to be continued.
If a petition is required to make that happen, I would hope it be possible for non-japanese fans of the show like ourselves to somehow be able to support the petition as well, especially considering that while the fanbase of places like the US may be smaller percentage-wise, we have a much larger population to draw that fanbase from – so our absolute numbers can be quite significant as regards something like this. And that’s no small thing to ignore.
i cant believe the way it “ended” in the tv series right now in episdoe 25. I mean, suuure they sort of found their answers and “changed” on the next day but nothing was shown like in the process of making everything successful or any more love developments than Tsg Ren finding out that he has the ’seeds of love’ blooming for Kyoko. is really saaad that is not satisfying
second season for skip beat is very wanted by the fans. it is such a great show and it will really suck if the producers wont continue making it. this is one of the best animes i have ever watched, and i ever supported. the story is really good and very entertaining, and it gives a good impression on the viewers. i never got bored watching this, and i never will.
please please please! have a second season!!!! :-S

Damnit. I WANT A SECOND SEASON. This seriously is one of the best anime slash manga I’ve seen so far. Let’s just hope for a second season. Maybe they will continue the show because, as one of you stated, the anime progressed so much faster than the manga. If they were to continue with it now, it’d prolly end up with fillers that would ruin the anime itself. Knowing that gives me quite the hope. ESPECIALLY with that hanging “The next stage is…” sentence by the end of the last episode. o_O

I think there will be season 2 too because of the looks of the last episode. Usually you know there won’t be a season 2 based from the ending– it’s either really grand or answers all of the questions left in the anime- which, in Skip Beat’s case, is neither.
The anime’s pace is kinda fast, so I guess it really would be better for a break rather than fillers.
oh, and she didn’t really say there wasn’t going to be a sequel.I mean, she did mention “if” there wasn’t a sequel, then an OVA… But i really don’t see how it was concluded that there won’t be one.

Well personally, i think that a second season should be coming! i’m definitely not giving up hope yet! the way episode 25 ended wasn’t even a conclusion…if anything, i think the producers are setting it up so that they could start another season…*fingers crossed*

aaarrrggghhh! I’ve been going on and on about Skip Beat for weeks now! It’s so frustrating that there isn’t any news yet about the release of the second season! Please let there be one! That would be fair for us Skip Beat fans around the globe! I’m not from Japan myself, but the fever of wanting a second season or maybe an OVA, has reached where I am and I’m sure in other countries as well! :((

Yes, I’ve heard of this rumor as well, a couple of months (I think) after Skip Beat! ended.
But I’m not very sure there will be one…I haven’t been researching online lately about any news.
But I’ll inform everyone of it if it were ever announce.
But…seeing as the manga’s currently being published in a slow pace and we only get to read it monthly now (not like back then where we get to read it 2 times in a month) a second season may not be inevitable…for now that is.
We’d probably have to wait for at least a year for the next arcs to pop out then they’d make another season.
But I dunno for sure if the producers would be willing to work to bring us another Skip Beat season…but let’s all keep our fingers cross. ^_^

well, it looks like the second season won’t air this year…the lists of all the anime airing in the fall have come out and skip beat season 2 isn’t there…still, i have hope that there will be one…it just might take a while…and i’m willing to wait, as long as i have a date of when it’s coming…thank goodness the manga isn’t over yet though…at least i get my dosage of skip beat every two weeks…hehe
