Anyways, this time around, I’m trying to change my ways. So here I am!

So for today, I’m writing about my impression on the anime title, Berserk. Hehe, I know, I know, such an OLD anime…but I heard it’s getting a movie next year! Well, I only did find out after I watched the first episode though. Hahaha! (Though, how old or new a title is, doesn’t matter to me ^ 3^/)

Anyway, to be perfectly honest, I had no idea what the whole concept or plot of the series was all about. All I knew was that the title is a seinen, and I have no qualms about that genre–to be honest, I kind of like it; I’ve grown fond of the genre through the years, I guess.

So this first two episodes that I’ve just recently watched had me gripping on my seat–metaphorically speaking, of course.

Guts has a past that I would love to know all about. He’s a well built, who seem to have lost his left hand, and fights with a sword bigger than he is. He comes into the story involuntarily saving a young girl from being abused by men in a pub by slaughtering some of them with his arrows, and some with the huge sword from his back. But before he leaves, he warns the only lone survivor to tell his master about him, “The Black Swordsman.”

He seems to be searching for something, from what I’ve seen from the first episode. (although I can’t remember very well since I watched that a couple of days ago) Aside from searching something, he seems to be fervently searching for “someone” as well… Well, one is an understatement, “some people,” I suppose. It would seem to be that way…and it also seems to me that they’ve wronged him somehow, and he wants payback. But I could be wrong… It’s just still speculations! I’d have to continue watching it.

On the second episode, we see Guts’s past where he first meets Griffith. Another main character in the series, from the looks of it. Aside from Griffith, there’s also Caska. A dark skinned, yet attractive woman who seems to be a toughie on the outside. From what I’ve seen of her and Guts’ interactions, this could be a foreshadow of a deeper relationship in the near future, but that’s just me. (I can’t help it, my antenna is responding!)

In that second episode, Guts tries to settle how his life will go by dueling with Griffith. If he wins, he’ll poke a hole through Griffith’s chest with his enormous sword. But if Griffith wins, he can do whatever he wishes to the former.

If I were to choose a side who might win, I think…Griffith.

Guts is injured, since he was attacked by Griffith’s men – of course, not by his orders – although Guts easily won against two of four of them, but with the other two at a disadvantage, Griffith orders Caska to help them. He easily overpowers Caska, but before he could kill her off with one swift plow, Griffith rescues her–but Guts attacks him instead, and even though Guts had more free movement, Griffith easily stabbed him with his rapier (or sword) on his chest, leaving him unable to fight back, and he faints…which then, eventually, leads up to Guts ending up in Griffith’s camp, where he asks Guts to join him. And after that, that’s when Guts tells him he refuses and wants to duel him to settle how both their futures will go.

Of course, there’s a high chance Guts could still win even if he is indeed injured. he’s the main character :P lmao

But anyway…so far so good! I’m slowly liking it, even though that’s just a couple of episodes. Usually, I sort it out when I’ve watched up to the 3rd episode, and we’ll see how I like the story so far by then, and if I don’t, I drop it. Simple as that. But this title have caught my attention more after this episode. I am interested how everything will fall into place. What is Guts searching for in the present time of the story? Whatever happened to Griffith in present time? (aside from him becoming the King, of course) What will be the outcome of Guts and Griffith’s fight in the past? Who are these beings that Guts seem to hold a grudge against? And whatever happened to that man that Guts saw in his dream who said “you killed me” at him? So many questions I want answered! And I will make it a goal to find out!

So yea, time for sleep first…when I wake up later, I’ll get down to watching the next episodes.

I saw three blog entries that were related to Skip Beat!, well, two of em were at least. The other one was just coz I saw a pic with the Skip Beat logo at the background. (pic below; haha~ lawl)

1st entry: And the door opens… (lawl~ that’s soo Skip Beat! xD)

The first one was about their recording. She was saying that Kyoko was a difficult character to portray but I think she enjoyed voicing her anyway.

She took a picture of the “LoveMe” cake xD (pic below)

She mentioned that everyone were saying it was awesome and stuff and so that’s when she took a pic of it. She also mentioned that it was big. Lawl (I want a piece! xD hahaha!)

By the end of the day she said that she was grateful for the staff who prepared the surprise. (cake, prolly :’p)

2nd entry: SkiBi 2…

This entry…this is what we’ve all been waiting for.

Us fans aren’t alone! Marina-san also wants a sequel! >_<

After the post-recording, I received flowers from our director~!! Of course, the others had some too☆

I requested a “sequel” to the director and to the music director but I’m not that eminent so I guess they wouldn’t approve….

In the original (I’m guessing she mean the manga, since she reads it too :’p) there will be lots of developments that I’m sure you’ll like, and the people who want to be Kyoko’s seiyuu are increasing….

If there won’t be a part 2, an OVA then…!

I want to do more~!

Meeh…I want more myself. >_<

So that’s it…there really isn’t a Skip Beat sequel for us fans…but, hopefully the producers would think about it so that we can have our sequel >w<

As for the 3rd entry, she only mentions that she tries her heart-sunglasses on that she brought accidentally with her, she put it on after the recording for Skip Beat. :’p (the picture that you see at the top of this blog entry x’p)

Marina-san’s so cute…although she has an unlikely voice. Reminds me of Park Romi-san for being so pretty and yet has a deep voice. x’p

I’m not sure how many episodes the anime really has but it’ll be clear once we see the 25th episode.

But she says it doesn’t have a sequel (yet xD) so…bah!

It was because…I just found out (took me LONG ENOUGH!!) that the CODE GEASS COMPLETE BEST Limited Edition album’s out for sale in Japan. (Found this out a week ago and, unfortunately, I procrastinated rather than bringing the news out, lawl)
It’s sad though…that I can’t go buy it. :’<

Well…I can probably order, but how much do you think the probability of me getting the product ready on my doorstep? I’d say 40%. There’s a probability that the product might GET to the country I’m living in (which is Saudi Arabia) but the probability of me getting it is 50/50 one.

For one, stupid people in wherever-the-mails -pass-through-place-is might just throw it away or something. They’re stupid like that…so don’t ask. I didn’t even know they ACTUALLY do that until someone told me about it. O_o (That’s prolly ONLY here in Saudi Arabia. Heh, surprise surprise. ¬_¬)

I really wanna order that thing right now…I seriously wanna. Well, I could also prolly have it delivered to France…but I wanna have it RIGHT NOW. Lawl.

I guess I’ll contemplate on that some other time though… -sigh-

Anyways~!

I’m guessing everyone has heard of the news that there’s going to be a new Code Geass comin’ out…prolly next year. It’s not a continuation of the two first series…me thinks it’s all new.

New characters, new Knightmares (possibly), new ideas and an all NEW PLOT!

I sure hope they make one that’s unpredictable and exciting as Lelouch of the Rebellion, except more unpredictable and exciting than how it was. (I doubt they can grasp a higher impact than Lelouch’s series. It had always been like that…although R2 really was very awesome and it made a lot more impact than the first season) I guess that’s going to be up to the people who’re to work on the project. Let’s all cross our fingers and hope for something more awesome than the first installment. :’p

Make all new characters that are quite lovable, would be one of my suggestions; don’t lazy around on the animation; -nods- Hire awesome voice actors like in the first anime! x’D (Who here thinks FukuJun didn’t do great in that series?! You’ve got to be stupid to think that! *I* personally think that THAT was the BEST work I’ve listened to in my entire life! x’p I really need to meet that man someday…I hope and wish that until then…he’s still single. ;’p Hehe)

-sigh- So far…no news of that upcomin’ series. I don’t think we’re getting any new news anytime soon either. x’3 Sadly…but oh well.

So is anybody against the idea of a new story and everything for this particular series? :’o Or are their some that finds this idea OK or really good? =’]

I’ve finished these series a month ago or so…(lawl) anyways…here’s an entry to tell you how I liked these series. I’m gonna be really harsh on Kurenai as it was good, but NOT good enough for me.

Antique Bakery

Synopsis

This is a story of a man who got kidnapped when he was a kid and decides to open a western cake shop, because he remembered that his kidnapper liked cakes and he would force him to eat them during his abduction.

Thoughts

When I saw this title, I checked it on Anime News Network. But finding out that it was shounen-ai, I gave up of finding out more about it. So when it finally aired, I didn’t care to check it. (I’m trying to change this kind of attitude of mine though… ^^; )

But, I read a blog entry from Usagijen of Scrumptious, and so a few days or so after reading that entry…I downloaded the first episode. Well, I really thought there wouldn’t be any BL, but BOY was I wrong. -laughs- Ahaha! It’s hard to watch seriously…but I still continued with the story. Besides, the story is quite interesting, also they’re hilarious to watch. The SD especially is quite funny to look at. Haha! xD Although I’m not FOND of sweets but, the cakes were SCRUMPTIOUS! *⌐* I wanted to have some after watching an episode. x’D

The characters’ different personalities were interesting so you’ll prolly love any of them. We got our owner, Tachibana-san, who likes women, kind (even though he may not look like one), very intelligent businessman. Next is Ono, he’s gay, he has a Devilish Charm which can turn any straight man gay (lawl xD), a very talented pattisier. Then Eiji; he used to be a well known pro-boxer, but after finding out that if he continues boxing he’ll become blind, he was forced to stop boxing and one day he asks to work in Tachibana-san’s shop. Also because he has a huge sweet-tooth and so after tasting Ono’s cake he becomes his apprentice. Lastly we have Chikage. He’s a VERRRYY kind man (that it’s scary xD), he would do anything just to be able to help, he’s stupid though, but a very kind man. He’s really slow on things…I mean, really slow. (xD) He wears sunglasses as his eyes are weak, and he develops a crush on Ono…see? I tell you even the straightest of men would turn gay. Haha!

I’ve got to say…I may be late in watching this series, but still…at least, I was still able to watch it…and truthfully, I LOVE this series. I can probably say that this is my MOST favorite out of all the BL-ish shows I’ve watched.

It might have been slow at first…but I love the episodes. They always have humour and I love comedy. This series always make me laugh out loud. Anyways, as I’ve not read the manga, I wouldn’t know about the art style of the manga-ka. But people say it’s very true to the artist’s style, which I find really nice. The SD is unusual and that’s why I find it cute. Hehe. Sadly this was a short series, but I guess its fine. I wouldn’t want to see more BL scenes…if there were more to come as the story continues. =’p

I’ll give this series 4.5/5, it was really good. I wasn’t really expecting to like it, but I just started to like it once I watched the first episode. :’p

Either way, I’m glad I did watch this. –smiles- It felt like I really needed to watch it. Hehe. I might just re-watch this sometime when I find the time…like marathon it or something. Haha!

Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu no Koto: Natsu no Sora

Synopsis

A young girl named Sora comes to Tokyo to study magic. As a student, they have clients who ask for them to do something that’ll help them in their requests. As they study in their Magic school, they all grow maturely, mentally; growing to learn more as they continue to help the people around them.

Thoughts

I finished this a long time ago already. (lawl) I never even knew there was a series prequel to this one. –shrugs-

Art wasn’t something to be proud of, but the cute story is what makes this series worth the watch. Some might find this boring…well, it was kind of boring at times…but you’ll get used to it I guess. You just have to be in a really good mood to continue watching it so that you can last an episode. (But you’ll be in a roll if you watch all the episodes in one-sitting. =’p)

Well, it was still a really enjoyable series and the romance is really sweet. It wasn’t really special to me. The ending was OK, but I guess I was never fond of this kind of endings. (I’m referring to another series by the acronym of CG:LotRR2, yes, you! lawl)

Anyways, probably those who’ve watch the first series of this title would also like this sequel. It was good, I’ll tell you that. It might have been somewhat boring at times, but the plot and setting and how they executed each episode were quite nice. Something I’ve never seen in any other anime. I think I like the way they don’t always show the characters’ who were speaking, they rather show at least the background or their feet or the other characters’ they’re talking to. It was nice; I thought it was something different.

Anyways, it has nice songs. I’m not fond of those songs, but some of you might like it. This is coming from someone who loves music. Lawl…I could be quite picky…but I can listen to almost anything. But, the songs in the series were a bit…umm…what was it? Well, whatever! It’s not really my kind of music, but don’t let me ruin it for you, you might like them.

Character developments were paced right. I like how Gouta came to work hard with his magic and finally being able to awaken them with the help of Sora. :’3

It was sad for the turning point of the series…it almost made me shed a tear about Sora by the end of this series…I was glad Gouta still loves Sora after all those years.

Not much to say about this series…it was um…a pass. Score would be 3.5/5. For the art wasn’t that great, but it doesn’t matter much; voice-acting wasn’t the best but it wasn’t bad at all. Just the story was a tad-bit boring for my taste; I guess. Nothing very special at all, I guess. –shrugs-

Kurenai

Synopsis

Based on a series of light novels, Kure-nai is about the adventures and misadventures of 16-year-old Kurenai Shinkurou. Shinkurou is an authority in settling disputes between people, and finds his life turned upside down one day when he is assigned as a bodyguard for Kuhouin Murasaki, the daughter of a powerful plutocratic family.

Thoughts

When I was aiming to watch new animes that were coming last Spring…I listed this as something to look out for. Since when I watched its PV, it looked quite interesting…

The art was really nice too; at least it’s not half-assed like some other series I’ve watched. Also everyone was waiting for it as they all mentioned it was going to be a dramatic series. (Yea, so I like drama series…got a problem with that? xD lawl Recommend some if you wish…I’d love that… :’p)

The first episode came out; Nothin’ really great about as it didn’t spark that much. But the story was still nice either way, or at least that was what I forced myself to believe. But as it went on though…it didn’t quite make sense anymore.

I got a boy who implanted a weapon in his body, a lolicon, a female pervert, an irritating boarding-house owner, a girly goody-two-shoes, an annoying tsuntsun meganeko, a siscon and a retarded family tradition (I also hate that woman who calls herself Murasaki’s mother, when she’s not even the real mum). Wait! Don’t forget about driving cars on tatami mats and inside the house.

Wait…let me see if I miss anything else…….

Hmmm…well…I guess that’s it? Anyways…the only character I liked was: Benika. She cared a lot about her subordinates and she didn’t want them to be killed. But, that’s not what I like about her. It was because she cared about her car more at the last episodes…-laughs- It was hilarious. xD I thought it was funny too when she commented about Murasaki’s father as to why he was mad was because they can’t park their car inside the “Inner Sanctuary.” (Let’s just say it’s an inside of a house, OK? xD)

Either way, I finished the series…and I guess it was an OK. It got annoying as the story went on, the characters were impossible, it became boring and sparks never lit up at all as I went on watching. Ok…except for the last episode where it got all exciting and finally…Shinkurou wasn’t such a sissy anymore as he was finally able to hit that siscon of a bastard. (lawl xD) Yayoi was awesome on that episode too…but it gets really unbelievably stupid. I’m serious. I was expecting a lot from this series, sad nothing that what I was expecting ever came out. I guess I was just waiting for that ONE thing to come out…but it ended without it, which sucked. -pouts-

I guess to those who can tolerate the series’ annoying-ness, you can go on watching…like I had. I guess I’ve never really completely dropped any of the series I’ve watched. (Birdy the Mighty Decode? I dropped it even before I could watch an episode so it doesn’t count. Lawl xD)

Seriously…nothin’ VERY sad happens…it’s fighting here, forced comedy there and impossible things happening. (Btw, I’ve not read the novel, so I wouldn’t know anything about the series in the first place. Do not flame me for my way of thinking…of course I don’t have anything against people who like this series…it just didn’t make that much sense to me that’s why I’m like this to this series. You can call me being bias but what can I do, right? -shrugs-)

Anyways…I’ll give a score of 2.5/5 for voice-acting for their cast of characters…(I got tired of Murasaki’s voice though…it was annoying. >_>) and art even. But the story and the characters’ way of thinking I couldn’t tolerate and also the animation was a tad bit awkward. -_-;

I don’t know about you guys out there who wish to watch this…but one thing is for sure…if you want a dramatic series or at least anything interesting…it’s not this one. Go find another series. Antique Bakery was better in so many aspects than this series. (Even if Antique had BL, which I’m not a fan of. =’p) At least Antique doesn’t have a forced comedy, nothing impossible happens (except maybe for Ono, he’s just funny when he turns to his ‘Devilish Charm’ mode xD), not much fighting (mostly they’re just arguments, but there was this one episode when Eiji kicked a guy…o,o) and there’s actually sad things but they just don’t go FULL FORCE with them…and ALSO, not to mention…the cakes that they show in each episode makes you wanna drool while looking at them. -laughs- (that reasoning, I know, doesn’t make sense at all xD)

Well, yea, that’s it. I hope you enjoyed this little (it’s not really little, huh?) review. I hope I can write more reviews next time. ^^

Sorry, heh. Anyways…here Saren, I’ve finally written a post after a long time of being unable to post one. (=’p)

I’ve been sick since last Wednesday…man~ and here I was so proud that I hadn’t gotten a flu for YEARS. -laughs-

Anyways…
I was bored today and instead of what I usually do -watch anime-, I looked up for a manga to read.

I stumbled upon this series called Akuma to Love Song, in English, A demon and her love song. The summary was a bit interesting, so I gave it a try and downloaded it. It took me awhile to read it though, since I was catching up on the ones I’ve missed of Beauty Pop. :’p hehe

Synopsis

Touzuka High School is a public school with pretty low grade point average. One day, a girl who has been expelled from the state’s top class St. Katria Girls School transfers in….Her name is Kawai Maria. The reason of her expulsion was “violence against the teacher.” Because of her unadorned, straight comments, Maria starts to become isolated from her class….What is hidden in her past and what will happen to her?

This isn’t the exact same synopsis I read…that was from Baka-Updates…I took this summary from Manga Traders. Also..the one I read from Baka-Updates was more interesting than this so don’t just forget this series just coz if this lame synopsis, give it a try first! ^_^

Well, I’ve just read the first chapter awhile ago. (Unfortunately, this post got delayed since Skip Beat! started airing on TV Tokyo so I had to halt and start watching it. xD)

I didn’t really expect much from it at first. But undoubtedly, I LOVE the art, it’s really pretty. I also like how the author used the song “Amazing Grace” for her main character to sing in it. (I love that song. ♥) And the plot is interesting, especially the characters. I’d like to know more about Maria and her two new found friends. x’p

Well, since I’ve only read one chapter, I dunno how I should explain this…but here I go! xD

The character, Maria, really looks and act like a bitch…but you never know a person once you start to communicate with them.

It would seem she has a special ability in which she can tell the real personality or attitude of a person. She’s also very frank. So everybody dislikes her for that.

I was shocked that the reason why she got expelled from such a great school was because of violence though…I mean, can a girl actually do that to a teacher? O_o And she even said it out so effortlessly as if she hadn’t done a thing wrong.

Its impossible, right? Who would’ve thought? She’s scary then. People shouldn’t try and bully her if they don’t want to get hurt or better yet…end up dead. o_o;;

Thoughts

I really like the art, ever since I saw the cover. The colors wasn’t so great when I first saw it but I take it back. They’re nice. The author’s art style, I know it isn’t that unique, but I love it. I think I’ve seen an identical art style like this before, but I dunno where. -scratches head- Oh well.

The guys were cute..but don’t tell me out of all the students in their class, there’s only the two of them that are male…lawl. That’d be really weird, wouldn’t it?

I’m curious about the black haired guy. (I can’t remember his name…) He seems to have something against Maria…(oh I like him though..he’s hawt! xD) The other guy, Yuusuke (surprisingly, I remember this guy’s name xD) is cute, but not my type, he’s a character, I can tell is like the monkey of the class. This is like the same other bright, happy-go-lucky kind of guy in many shoujo series that you’ll read. But I’m expecting more to come from him. I bet he’ll lively up everything even more as the chapters go on. Hehe.

I really like the part when he was suggesting to Maria to be “lovely.” It made me laugh when she actually tried that and she turned out to look more like a delinquent asking for a fight! xD

Anyways, this is a good start for its first chapter! There are other shoujo series out there that don’t make this good of an opening when it comes to their first chapters.

But since this is just the first chapter, I’m just giving this 4 out of 5 for a good plot, nice art, cool/cute guys and good song choice.

Even though the things those girls did to her was awful, its part of the story and I don’t see anything wrong with that. I like the turn of events for the main character. She’s learning how to be a better person because of this new school and new people she’s meeting. (Namely Yuusuke and the black haired guy. Nah, you don’t have to tell me his name, I’ll remember it once I read the next chapter. xD)

Anyways…I haven’t reviewed for awhile so I’ve prolly gotten rustier than ever…and I wasn’t a very good of a reviewer from the beginning. Hahaha!

I’ll be reviewing more anime and manga soon! Let’s just hope I don’t forget to do so. =’p

It has been hectic ever since the new anime’s came out…especially when Skip Beat! came out! -laughs-

I was really lookin’ forward to Skip Beat’s anime version…I’ll review it later. :’p

As for now, I’ll post my first impressions about Earl and Fairy, Eve no Jikan and Toradora!. I know it’s like really late and all. But it’s better late than never.

Hakushaku to Yousei

So I begin with Hakushaku to Yousei, or Earl and Fairy. ^_^ (Decided to call it Earl and Fairy since my fave fansub group decided to call it that, since its setting is in Victorian England.)

Synopsis

The story is set in 19th century England and centers on a “fairy doctor” named Lydia. Her life takes a 180-degrees turn when she meets a legendary blue knight count named Edgar and his crew. He hires her as an adviser during his quest to obtain a treasured sword that was supposed to be handed down to him by his family.

Thoughts

Well, as I watched this on the 28th (before I watched Code Geass R2′s finale) it didn’t feel so special coz I was more excited about watching the last episode of Code Geass. But, I re-watched after CGR2, and it was quite enjoyable and really funny in a way. There were so many sparklies around Edgar, I couldn’t help not giggle. xD Edgar’s a total bishie, seriously.

Nico, her kitty is a cutie. (I know the VA too, lawl) A walking, talking cat. Man! I wish I could get a cat like that! Ahaha~ but if it has the same attitude as Nico’s, I think I’ll pass. -laughs-

And we have here, Raven, who was voiced by Sugita Tomokazu. He did a good job, I was surprised. His character is cute too. He’s Egdar’s buttler, he’s that dark-skinned young man over there. -points at the pic above-

What got me to try and watch this was because when I just passed by its website and found Midorikawa Hikaru as the VA for our hawt blondy over here…I got totally excited! -laughs- Not to mention, the lead female role was played by the awesome veteran singer and voice actress, Mizuki Nana-san. -smiles- Plus, the pretty art completely captured my heart, so I was ecstatic to watch it.

Anyways, this is set in Victorian England. Yes, again…another Victorian England setting. -laughs- The Japanese seem to have a fetish for Victorian era. Hehe.

The first episode was truly enjoyable (even though half of what was being said and what’s been happening were quite unknown to me)…it was truly hilarious and it already gave quite a fluttering feeling. I wish to see moar Lydia and Edgar development in the coming episodes, please. When’s the smut comin’ out? Just kidding..xD

I’m giving this first episode a 9/10. I wanted more! -laughs- Ok, I guess I’ll wait for the second episode. Ahaha!

Eve no Jikan act2: SAMMY

Got me wanting to watch this ONA ever since I read the synopsis. -scratches head- I dunno why, but I thought it was really interesting so I finally downloaded the first act…and since the 2nd act was out just at the beginning of this month, I feel so late in watching it. -laughs-

Synopsis

In the not too distant future androids have come into common usage. Taking the androids for granted, humans treat them as if they were common everyday tools, however, some people are unhealthily attracted to the androids due to their human-like appearance (save for a digital ring floating above their heads). This has become a social problem and these people are frowned upon as a result. Rikuo, who has taken androids for granted for his entire life, one day discovers that Sammy, his home android, has been acting strangely and finds a strange phrase recorded in her activity log. Thoughts

You might not find it that interesting..but I thought when I first read the synopsis, it totally got me intersted. Watched the first act, it was really good. :’o

One episode is only 15 minutes long; an episode has nothing less nothing more to give, it’s nice. I recommend it. The art’s really nice too. Love the animation, really. The setting is great, the idea is quite original and the story’s really lovely. I already can’t wait for the 3rd act.

This ONA actually has like 6 acts. The first act aired in August of this year..so it was just a month ago or so. This episode gave such a fluffy feeling. I thought it was such a cute episode. ^-^

I think I’m giving this a perfect score. 10/10. I give high scores really easily..it’s not surprising. -laughs- xD

Toradora!

I’m not a big fan of Kugimiya Rie-san…I think she’s overrated. -pouts- Even when she voiced Al in FMA…was never a fan of her. I’m more a big fan of FukuJun or Paku Romi-san or Mamo-chan…but was never a fan of hers. But, I say she’s perfect for Taiga’s role.

Maybe I was never a fan of SQUEEKY voices. -laughs- (No, I don’t think Pikachu has an annoying voice…does that mean I have a voice? D: that doesn’t make me happy, lawl xD)

Lately she’s been very active in voice acting once again. (I’ve never watched Shakugan no Shana…or Zero no Tsukaima series…) She usually voices chars in ecchi anime’s and ecchi is one of the genres I don’t like to watch. (I guess I’ll try and watch Shana sometime though since it’s not an ecchi one…)

Synopsis

Toradora!’s story begins with the male protagonist Ryūji Takasu who is frustrated at trying to look his best as he enters his second year of high school. Despite his gentle personality, his eyes make him look like an intimidating delinquent so he is utterly hopeless about his chances of getting a girlfriend anytime soon, and does not have many close friends either. After being greeted by his hungover mother in the morning, Ryūji goes to school and is happy to find that he gets to be in the same class as his best friend Yūsuke Kitamura and crush Minori Kushieda. However, it is then that he unexpectedly knocks into “the school’s most dangerous animal of the highest risk level” — Taiga Aisaka — who just happens to also be in his class, and is a good friend of Minori.

Thoughts

I never really decided to watch this series when I was choosing which series to watch for Fall…but everyone seems to be excited about this series, and I think I saw the PV of it once…so in the end, I decided I’ll check it. It was a quick decision and when it finally came out, I decided to download the raw.

The episode was truly enjoyable as it was really hilarious. Also, I usually don’t like female characters that are tsuntsun, but I gave Taiga a quick brush of the shoulder and let it be. She’s cute and hilarious and… -pats- I feel sorry for her coz she lives in a huge apartment by herself. -pouts-

And…Ryuji is just someone you can totally love at first sight! Even though he’s feared all over the school for looking like a gangster…first episode he just captured my heart coz of his weird sense of…cleanliness… (I’ll call that a neat-freak, really. xD) I really thought it was such a cute thing how he was singing about “ecology” and stuff to as he’s about to throw the trash. -laughs-

I figured as much he hates his father who’s like a yakuza when I saw that pic he had in his drawer. He has weird hobbies like writing in his notebook about what he would do to make the girl he loves happy…er sort of…I still think it was such a cute thing though. Hehe.

Also, I realize it’s a slice-of-life, romantic comedy series. I wanna watch it coz of the romance. I’m a sucker for that genre. (this is also why I read a lot of shoujo manga’s…you might not know that…well, now you do. xD)

I’m really hoping for more development from this two. It’d be something to look out for.

The ending sequence was cute too! So was the song actually! -giggles-

Well, the second episode’s out! Yea, someone subbed it already. I’m kinda late since I was really stressed with schooling coming and was totally still stuck with Skip Beat’s first episode. -laughs- I’m just waiting for the 2nd episode…where more laughter ensues. -laughs-

Anyways, as for this series, I’m giving it a 9/10. I’m expecting quite a lot from this series from now. -smiles- ^_^

Wow! I feel somewhat excited about that chapter! It was so interesting and funny (as always). I found out the news it was out when I got back from my friend’s house..man! I was so tired at the time, but it was all washed away when I saw the news! I just HAD to read it as soon as possible! -laughs- xD

Anyways, this chapter was AWESOME! I wasn’t able to read it coz the raws were medium sized so most likely the furigana are small. I can’t see them clearly. -pouts- But, if you try to understand the situation, you most likely would be able to. I mean, Nakamura-sensei’s speciality are the expressions and body movements. Right? You can pretty much tell what’s happening. =’p

First off! The two retards were comparing the “always-apologizing-noodle” to her AFTER outcome. They were quite surprised shocked that she’s wearing make up, has a different hairstyle, wearing an accessory, has a sense for fashion and (can’t read the one pointing to her pants..xD) and they have this shock face while thinking “It can’t be!!”

Well, unfortunately girls…it IS “her.” The one who’s like a bowl of noodles. xD SURPRISE! SURPRISE!

Wait! That’s an understatement, it’s really SHOCK! SHOCK! Haha! xD

But when they finally recovered from their shock and went back to the studio, they still had her ribbon with them. Seriously…plotting bitches, you’ll get what you deserve soon. You don’t know Kyoko-sama…she’s got angels demons on her side. xD

Anyways, Kyoko found out that the ribbon’s nowhere to be found…

Back in the studio, it would seem the lead role for the drama seems to be talking to Amamiya about her experience that morning and how she had a different feeling from Kyoko. She even raised her hair manually with her hands to make it seem like it was that “OMGSHOCK!” feeling. Haha!

She finally then says that she doesn’t have the Kyoko feeling from her, but instead, she gives out a Natsu feeling, in which the director hears from afar with a dark aura around him and Amamiya shows a fake smile at her and thinking “I knew it, ” and stuff and she was most likely thinking up evil plans for her. (Swear to gawd these characters…-sigh-)

Anyways…we see Ren in his Emperor of the Night mode. (Ooh~ hawt! x’3)

But, after his photoshoot, it seems like Yashiro-chan lectures him about stuff. Or perhaps tells him about things bothering him that has something to do with Ren…or something like that.

Yashiro-chan talks a lot and so there are a lot of words and less space for the kanji meaning makes the furigana smaller, least able for me to read. :’/

Well…didn’t get much of what was happening with these two’s conversation. But you can make sure, Yashiro will make it such a funny one! xD

She showed up anyway… -sticks out tongue- Yes, she did. The two girls were surprise (no, shocked again..it would seem) They were like “She came out without her ribbon on—!!!”

I don’t mind, Kyoko looks great without the ribbon on. =’p

I like the way she stands. It’s refreshing from how she usually stands up, ne? ^_^

She greets everyone “good morning,” after the greeting, I couldn’t read the furigana. *_*

Well, actually not only the two are shocked, even Amamiya herself. Hah!

Anyways, she approaches the director and apologizes that she doesn’t seem to have the tie/ribbon at all…then the director calls for the one who was supposed to give out the uniforms to the cast.

The woman who was ordered to do it, suddenly blames the unnamed girl 1, by the end of this chapter, she lies and tells that “what if she’s just making it up” and she was aiming this at our Kyoko-sama.

Well, that’s it!

I hate this girl as much as Amamiya!

The last episode of World Destruction was nice. I have been waiting for a that suspicious Kyrie-clone that I’ve been seeing at the beginning of the OP.

Turns out I was right thinking that it really WAS Kyrie. I thought so half way into the series. :’p

Sadly, I liked Red-haired Kyrie more than the blonde-haired Kyrie. As usual, light-voiced (Not Light from Death Note…) Mamo-chan sounds like Tamaki. -laughs-

But, I can’t deny that I like blonde-hair Kyrie in his game-self. :’p He’s HAWT.

Anyways, too bad that had to end with the last episode showing that those two actually has feelings for each other. (Well, in the game it would seem Kyrie does have feelings for Morute, in the anime it wasn’t that obvious though. But, it was so obvious Ri-a likes Kyrie. But, I don’t like her. Lawl xD)

Hoho~ finally! Finished the series! Alto! -slaps- Idiot!

Ok…I’ll forgive him. But he’s really fickle! But I’m glad, he loves Ranka! ♥ Yey! (I’ll brush off about him liking Sheryl. I don’t care.)

Well, the animation for D.Gray-man’s last episode sure was a waste. -pouts- It was such a stupid ending. I seriously think it was. I guess I was just quite happy that I get to see my Kanda and Bak-chan and most of the male casts…(as I am a bishiewhore lawl) I wasn’t expecting to see Tyki here though. I thought he was gonna come out later, as that was what happened in the manga. (I think…)

Hmph! Well, can’t compain now…it’s done. I’m hopeful for another season…the probability of having one would be 20%…-shifty eyes- Yea, well whatever, I guess I could just continue with reading the manga and be content (-sniffs and cries-) of seeing my Kanda on paper. (in this case, on the computer…)

Plus, Hoshino-sensei’s art is love. I love how she draws her characters, most especially Kanda’s chara design. Haha! He’s sexy. =’p

As for Natsume Yuujinchou; it was such an enjoyable emotional ride watching this series. I would’ve never thought I’d love this series. I was just so oblivious to how awesome this series could be. It’s such a touching anime, that every episode has its way of making me touched at how it was told. I’ve noticed Midorikawa-sensei has her way with her stories. I’ve only read a volume of full of short one-shots and they were all really nice and it really gave that touching feeling. I think I even cried at one of her stories. Well, actually I’ve cried a lot of times while watching the episodes of this series, and for someone as emotional as I am, seriously, it wasn’t hard to let out tears while I was watching every heart-wrenching episodes.

Sad, the next season would come out on Winter…but I guess I could wait. I would wait however long it is for this anime! Love it to bits.

The funny thing is…this series may be really touching and such, but it’s really well balanced with the humour. Every episode is funny. It’s never without the humour. Nyanko-sensei’s also hilarious and I love how Natsume interacts with spirits or yokai and then in the end he befriends them. Aww… ♥ thinking about it makes me wanna re-watch it. x’p

Anyways…I guess that’s about it for the ones I’ve finished already. That’s part I, I doubt I’d finish the others within this week really. But, hopefully I could finish it this week. If not I guess I could download and watch the others when the upcoming anime’s doesn’t air.

I know I’ve still got a lot from the past seasons’ I’ve not finished watching. I’m still on the 7th episode of Blassreiter; Druaga no Tou ~Aegis of URUK~ is taking awhile to finish downloading. I just need Kurenai‘s last episode, I’m on the 13th episode of Nabari no Ou, I’m waiting for Live-evil‘s releases of episode 20 to 22 of Nijuumensou no Musume; as for Wagaya no Oinarisama。I haven’t even watched the 3rd episode. *_* That series seems to be my LOWEST priority out of all of them. But that was just the Spring’s list.

For Summer: Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto ~Natsu no Sora–I just need episode 11 and 12 to finish it. I’m still downloading Antique Bakery, and I’ve only watch the first episode for it. I was kinda cautious coz I’m not a BL fan and I was really tricked to not watch that series coz I thought it was a BL series. So I was too late but I was able to watch episode 1 and it wasn’t bad. There were really akward scenes but they were still quite funny. Haha! Either way it’s a cute anime.

I’m still waiting for Neo Angelique Abyss -Second Stage-‘s 5th episode from Strawberry Mint Subs. And lastly, I just need to download Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiki Jikenbo‘s last episodes and I’m done.

And yes! I need to finish all of those within this week. If I had a super-fast internet and a super-computer, I would’ve been finish a long time ago…but sadly enough I don’t.

Oh yea~ I almost forgot about Shugo Chara! and the second season’s coming out this coming October 4. O_o;

Black Butler

Well…I’ve always though fall would be September.

So basically it has come. Since I said it IS September. =’p But, most of the anime’s for this season are coming out this month!

Yea, it’s already October 1, ladies and gentlemen. I’m quite excited since I’m expecting a lot from this season’s upcoming series.

I’ve already watched the raw for Hakushaku to Yousei. I really liked the first episode and I can’t wait for a sub. (Though I could wait…=’p)

But, before I try to attack the upcoming series, I thought it’s best if I finish the Spring 2008 anime’s I’ve not finished yet. Namely, Macross Frontier, Kurenai, Blassreiter…etc.

I’d most likely post another entry soon. About…let’s say…Kuroshitsuji, maybe? Or Hakushaku to Yousei? =’o Or maybe start rambling about Skip Beat? xD

So Code Geass R2 has now come to an end.

I don’t know about you guys…but that ending was good. Sunrise has its way with people. I’ve come to love most of the series they’ve made that I’ve seen.

The ending for this series was beautiful. I wasn’t expecting for that to happen. But it was a good ending nonetheless. I didn’t expect more or less from it.

For one, I don’t really know what to expect from the ending. I was just hopeful that Lelouch or Suzaku wouldn’t die. Unfortunately the both of them “died.” lawl
-or so we thought.

Well, I didn’t believe Suzaku died. But it really felt as though Lelouch totally died there. But seeing as it was his plan…oh well.

But I do believe that he’s alive.

"I...destroy...world. Create...it..."

Sunrise always tend to do that. You think they’re dead..but the next thing you know…they’re alive…

So, I wish to believe that he’s alive…travelling with C.C. Most likely he’s that wagon-driver. C.C wouldn’t talk so freely especially if someone else is there….unless the actual person was really present. Plus, C.C tends to talk to “someone” only when she’s alone. Plus she looked upwards when she was asking “Lelouch.”

I doubt Lelouch would be in the World of C either. He’s not like Marianne. His geass is different from Marianne’s geass.

And…when I saw Orenji-kun’s smile, I was pretty sure he knew something. Also, if he knew that Lelouch would really die, he would refuse to have Suzaku kill Lelouch. It would be over Orenji-kun’s dead mecha body!

So…Lelouch is most likely immortal and that he just didn’t want Suzaku to know! Coz he’s supposed to be punished. Plus it’s unfair too if he dies, taking all the blame for all the sins that his family have made.

I also realized when Zerozaku came out and Lelouch smiled that “just-as-planned” smile, the thing about Schneizel to obey only “Zero” was just as he planned it as well.

I’m amazed. Amazed by the fact that that was what he had planned before he became the 99th Emperor of Britannia. So that was the reason why C.C was worried in the shadows at first. I was always stuck to Lelouch…I was never doubtful for one second, coz I know he has his reasons for doing the things he did.

The moment Nunnally saw what happened in the past with Lelouch…the moment she finally realizes that he was gonna sacrifice himself for the good of everyone’s future…that moment…was definitely the tear-jerker moment that totally had my tears gush out immensely.

I was crying the moment he was talking with Zerozaku and when flashbacks of the two of them discussing about his plan were shown. I cried for an at least an hour…on and off and I had a horrible migraine, my jaws hurt too and my eyes were puffy and stingy. MY eyes are still puffy and very stingy right now…my migraine is still present, even though only a little since my mom gave me medicine already…but I’m afraid to cry more. So I’m currently forcing myself to not cry…coz I’m pretty sure all those painful happenings will come back. O_O I don’t want it anymore…I wanted to cry about it being painful but if I do so, it’ll be worse…so I’m really trying hard not to cry anymore.

I’d like to laugh so yea…I guess I’ll find things to laugh about it. -laughs-

It was bad for my heart..I feel as though I was being stabbed over and over. So, I’m sharing it so you Lelouch fans can also feel my pain.

Even though I believe that he’s alive…the thought of him dying this way was just totally too painful to watch. Yet, I watched it over and over and cried my eyes out. (The reason for all my pain…o_o migraines and such…)

Anyways…Code Geass is by far the BEST anime I’ve ever watched. I thought Gurren Lagann was AWESOME, but I dunno. Code Geass weighs more in my heart though…even though I watched Gurren Lagann after Code Geass and between Code Geass R2′s 20+ episodes. =’/

But, I have no doubts that Gurren Lagann was GREAT too. In its own way. It’s just I really REALLY LOVE Code Geass more.

Ah~ I just rambled on an on. -laughs-

I seriously still have a headache…my eyes are absolutely stingy. >_<

I think I’m glad that the one to kill Lelouch is not someone else, but Suzaku. They’re best buds after all. I think it’s one-sided…or is it that Suzaku finally forgot about Lelouch’s sins from back then?

Anyways…I feel as though when Orenji ordered to quickly run away as soon as the people ran towards them when Lelouch was “killed”, he was the one to bring Lelouch away.

I’m curious as to how Suzaku would do his job as “Zero.” I think he’d still be able to do miracles coz he has accepted a geass…it would seem. When he stabbed Lelouch, that’s when it was activated…Lelouch’s code, I mean. That’s also prolly when they had a quick contract? Maybe? Well, Suzaku said he accepts the geass, then that could only mean one thing, right? *.*

Heh, also Suzaku’s an idiot. No offense. He can’t possibly wittingly think of a succesful plan, yes? He would most likely charge head on without thinking. -laughs-

Seriously, I mean no harm to you Suzaku fans…I’ve become one myself. Although at first I was only a “DORKzaku” fangirl, now I can proudly say I’m a Suzaku fan. All hail Zerozaku! -laughs-

This episode’s full of action. Just what to expect of D.Gray-man, really.

So in this episode, Words of Promise, in the beginning we see Lenalee reaching for her innocence that fell to the ground when Level 4 attacked Hevlaska while she was trying to synch the innocence on her. The Level 4 akuma still has its foot on her head.

While she reaches for her innocence, she remembers that in the past she would hope everything were all but a dream. No Millennium Earl, no akumas, no innocence. She’ll wake up from the nightmare and be relieved about it. She will then see smoke from outside her room and she turns to where it’s coming from and we see Komui conjuring up an experiment cooking something for breakfast.

They smile at each other.

But then the scene goes back to her reaching for her innocence. Fortunately, Allen comes to stop Level 4 from killing Lenalee. Once Level 4′s far away from her, Allen and Level 4 starts to battle, but with Level 4 with the advantage. Allen already has a weak body after all he was also at the fight in the Science lab when the akuma attacked there first.

So once Lenalee was free from the akuma, she was finally able to touch the innocence. It glows an even bigger green light, and Komui sees this from below. Worried that his sister has finally started to synch with her Dark Boots.

Lavi tries convince him to go where Lenalee is at, also telling him that she’s doing this for her brother. He tells her that he should stay with her since he’s her brother. But Komui tells him that he doesn’t know what to do.

But! Kanda to the RESCUE!

Imagine a lecture from someone who usually doesn’t care what happens to everything? Wait, that’s not usually…he always don’t care. He shouts at Komui that listening to him is such a bother and it pisses him off. He then asks what is Komui’s purpose for joining the Black Order. Those words hit him like a rock thrown to his head and starts to reminisce the times when he would always be waiting for Lenalee to come back from a mission, or those times when he would be the one to tell her “Itterashai” or “have a safe trip” as she replies “ittekimasu” before she leaves. Finally realizing this, Komui stands up from Kanda’s kick and tries his hardest to walk to where Lenalee is at.

As Lenalee still glows green while holding her innocence. Her decision was for her innocence to give her strength to save everyone in the Black Order. Promising that she’ll follow her innocence until the day that everything ends. Before she finishes her promise to herself and to her innocence, Komui finally arrives before her. She then finally says her promise would be that in the end, she’ll come back to her brother.

The innocence then liquidizes on her palms. With that, she gazes up at her brother, a smile upon her face. “Ittekimasu, nii-san” (I’m off, brother).

Komui fans would prolly kill to see his tears. Sincere ones, that is.

She then drinks the liquified innocence. With that, Komui tries to stop her while calling out her name. But once he gets to her, she has already swallowed all of it. A spurt of blood suddenly comes out from her feet and Komui is surprised by it all.

Allen suddenly comes to view, still battling with the Level 4. The akuma lets out a huge attack at him and he tries to stop it with his sword. Trying his best to stop it, Kanda and Lavi helps him by holding the sword along with him and pushing to stop the akuma’s power.

With Hevlaska finally up from the akuma’s attack, she tries to check Lenalee’s condition. Komui worries about his sister that the blood won’t stop gushing from her feet, with Leverrier only thinking of the innocence and that if it’s living properly inside her body.

At long last, the three, Lavi, Kanda and Allen finally pushes the powerful attack of the akuma. With Allen on the floor catching his breath, Lavi launches a sneak attack and was able to hold on to the akuma. Kanda also launches an attack with a sword but the akuma breaks it effortlessly with its hand, but Kanda’s aim was to hold the akuma’s arm. He then calls out for Beansprout Allen and he attacks with his sword but it was quickly stopped by the akuma’s right hand.

Level 4 tells them they’re being boring since they can’t do anything with the kinds of attacks they’re doing, and with that, he pushes all three from himself easily.

All three landing on different places. The Level 4 still wanting to play then lands another attack at Allen.

Back to where Hevlaska is still checking Lenalee’s body. She mentions that the innocence is not in her body. It’s nowhere to be found. She says that she could trace that it went through her body but she can’t feel it from her body at all.

As Hevlaska asks where it might be, all the blood that gushed out from her body crystalized.

They all realize that this was her innocence with Komui saying that it will only be a weapon with Lenalee’s blood. Once the innocence goes to her legs, she activates it and a bright light emanates from her legs.

While in another place, Lavi and Kanda tries to stand up from their hits. Level 4 readies an attack at the weak-bodied Allen.  But before he could launch his last attack at him, Lenalee lands on his arm.

As she glared at the akuma before her, she lectures how he could destroy her home like that. Level 4 then starts an attack with his left hand. She tries to scurry quickly saving Allen in the process. The attack finally landing on a wall. Lavi and Kanda worried that they might have taken the attack directly, but the akuma reassures that they weren’t hit at all, then he looks up and tries to catch up to the two.

Kanda and Lavi, surprised that they’ve already gotten that high up so quickly, that Lavi asked Kanda if he saw it, with Kanda replying that he couldn’t.

High up, we see Timcanpy holding on to Allen’s sword, with Allen being held by Lenalee as he says it was so fast he felt sick. Lenalee apologizes and looks down, wondering that she didn’t mean to go so high up, also thinking that since it was so long since she had her dark boots on, she prolly lost her senses.

Suddenly she notices Level 4 coming for them, it lets out multiple attacks at them and she hops through them one by one so to avoid being hit by one. She then attacks the akuma head one with her boots, having an equal fight with it.

Allen finally back to his senses, tells Lenalee to let go of him as he can extend his crown belt and he won’t fall. He then apologizes to her that he wasn’t able to save everyone, while Lenalee apologizes as well that she was late to help.

They finally have their resolve by going all out to fight the akuma.

Down below, Leverrier is glad that Lenalee’s synchronization was a success and if this keeps up, Lenalee and Allen would win the fight. Komui is still worried though. He was worried about Allen since he should already be at his limit, while Lenalee just activated her boots. He was cut off from his thoughts as he hears sounds coming from his reciever from his ear.

Finally with Allen and Lenalee’s fight with the akuma, they were finally able to kick him downwards, with Allen’s final attack using his sword to stab him down. But the akuma tries to stop him by pushing the sword up. He confidently says that too bad that he can’t stab him at all. But with Allen’s confident “Oh really?” look the akuma, wide-eyed notices Lenalee from above as she finally lands on top of the sword with force. She then pushes upwards and thinks to herself that she needs to get higher and to accelerate to have more power. As the boots finally ables to get that, she finally realizes that this new Dark Boots are different from her old ones, that she doesn’t have to conrtol them and they just respond to her thoughts and feelings. Finally gaining all the power she needed, she launches towards the akuma and Allen’s sword.

Even though we see the akuma pushed down greatly by Allen’s sword, we see his left hand’s fingers twitching before the end credits role.

PREVIEW

So with the 103rd preview…Allen finally says it’s the last battle and last episode. I guess that’s what I was aiming to hear so I can be sure that it really is ending and that it wasn’t just all rumors.

D.Gray OMAKE

In this omake that you see by the end of every episodes…we see Level 4-kun finally dominating the whole class of Allen and the others after they go off after school. When he was worked up about it, Allen and the others see him and tells him that he should go home already or else the teachers will get mad. With that, we see Level 4-kun in tears.

Thoughts

So obviously…we’ll see more action since it’s the last battle and all…also the LAST EPISODE.

Yea, it’s sad that it has to end. -cries- I really wanted to see the other manga chapters get animated! (Especially the chibi Kanda ones..xD)

This episode was nice. I really enjoyed watching it again and reviewing it. It made my brain bleed thinking of how I should tell the story though. -blood comes out of ears- See? Lawl.

Anyways…I wanted to stay positive about this, that it’s only ending because it’s almost about to catch up with the chapters. I’ll keep that thought until the day comes and the anime’s to come back and running. I really hope it’s not because of the low DVD sales. I’m really saddened at the thought of this anime ending.

There are other anime’s out there that are continuing on and yet going downhill. For instance…Naruto. I’m actually forcing myself to read and watch that. I guess it doesn’t matter that much anymore.

ONE PIECE has soo many episodes! I mean…who watches that show? I, for one, don’t. Sorry.

Anyways…the omake’s…

I’m going to miss them. -cries- The omakes are one of the reasons why I love watching this series. They’re all so funny and cute. Also the animation is NOT half-assed like some other anime’s. They really work hard on the animation, it’s as if the chapters of the manga really coming to life and such.

Hilarity always butts in on everything with this show. Haha~ I love it. ♥

Hoshino-sensei’s way of telling her story is just remarkable. Even though she’s currently having troubles about the manga right now, she still tells the story in a way that you wouldn’t even think they’re just filler arcs. Her art style even improved a lot. Well at least to me it improved. Allen’s looking sexier than ever! Kanda’s always been SHMEXY..hahaha! Any angle she draws Kanda is just..LOVE.

Oh~ wait..I’m rambled about now. Anyways…I just hope the anime comes back someday. I don’t care if next year…or 2010. It has to come back someday! And that someday…I will wait!
